  1. A domain for your website.
  2. Web Hosting, this is required to Host your website on internet.
  3. WordPress, this is the tool that will help you design, manage and update your website.

Getting a domain

Domain name is a part of your website URL. Its the post fix that will slightly define your site type. Try to keep your website name simple and descriptive. Like my website name ‘incomediaries.com’ helps visitor to guess what it is about. Prefer .COM and .NET. To buy a domain I suggest you GoDaddy.com. They are the largest domain providers. Buying a domain will cost you $10 a year and it is important you get this thing right.

Host your site on internet

You can get domain name and hosting for your site together from one place but i suggest you keep them both separate for one or more reasons. After getting a domain you need a Host to put your website files and database on net. That’s the way you are able to publish your website content on internet. Choosing a right Host is important because otherwise you can face many problems like your blog  going offline or your website disconnected without any notice. Set up WordPress on your hosting

In recent past setting up a website would be a nightmare. You would have to do lots of technical stuff and upload a load of files which was not easy indeed. But now you have been provided with tools to setup your blog very easily. It’s like anyone can setup a blog now. After you have bought web hosting and you re done with setting it up, all you need to do is login to your web-hosting control panel and there click Fantastico and click Install WordPress, less then 60 seconds later your blog is installed, you have a website on the internet and you can start publishing content with the help of word press. It’s like an editing tool for your website which only you can access when you log in to your site. After you have followed the above steps your site would be ready to go and all you have to do is add content to it.
